Heat Exchangers for Automotive Applications

Heat exchangers are devices that transfer heat energy across fluids (or gases) while ensuring that there is no mixing between them. Heat exchangers are widely used as radiators in vehicles. In automotive radiators, heat from the hot engine water passes through while air is blown through the radiator fins. This ensures that the heat energy from the hot water is transferred to the surrounding air and an equilibrium in temperature is reached. This ensures that engine is not allowed to overheat.
